Life & 2020 Vision

2020 Vision- A Clean Slate

I had this huge plan to introduce you to vison boards- what better way to start the new decade with a fresh look, right?  As life goes, it doesn’t always go as we want it to. Surely enough, some doors closed, and others open.

Instead of lecturing about the need for clarity (vision boards) on what we desire or want to achieve, I will start you on a journey that will keep you coming or you’ll be done with me for good.

Shadow work is often criticized or overlooked. A couple of weeks ago I was going through this “I can’t get shit done” phase until I stumbled on this webinar about shadow work.  The Sisters Enchanted showed me a view on my personal life that I can never go back from.  I felt…betrayed…astonished… confused…emotional.  That night after the webinar I sat in silence staring at the ceiling, wondering just how did I never understand this beautiful soul-enriching scary tool?

After watching the webinar, I realized how much stuff I haven’t been facing. Things…That I know causes daily stress, anxiety, & depression. Instead of looking at the future at this moment (we will at a later time), take this journey and let us look at our shadows.

Before we begin this journey together, there are only two things you need to should know before stepping in.

What Is Shadow work?

Shadow work is exactly as it sounds. It’s our own personal shadows that we hide from the world. It’s the habits we have developed, the memories we bury, the pain, the sorrow, the actions we have taken no responsibility for. We all have regrets, a decision in the past we wish were different.

How can look in help me?

I know looking in, looking back is a scary thing. However, being able to deal with our inner demons is a step to healing ourselves. Facing ourselves, our demons is the biggest success any person can have in their lifetime.

Beneath the social mask we wear every day, we have a hidden shadow side: an impulsive, wounded, sad, or isolated part that we generally try to ignore.  The Shadow can be a source of emotional richness and vitality, and acknowledging it can be a pathway to healing and an authentic life.
